When being admitted to the hospital...

Please list First United Methodist as your home church, then notify (or have someone) the church. Federal law now states that a patient will be asked permission to share this information with others. If the patient declines, the information will be withheld from everyone, including their pastor. We won't know you are hospitalized and therefore, cannot visit you. The patient also will not be able correspondence directly from the church. Thank you.

NICKELS FOR HUNGER

On January 29th and each last Sunday of the month, we will collect this offering. Please set aside a nickel per meal so the less fortunate may also eat. ALSO: Food & paper donations may be left in the FISH box (narthex) each Sunday!

NEED A SITTER SO YOU CAN ATTEND A CHURCH MEETING?

YOGA CHIX

meet each Monday & Thursday (no holidays) from 2:30 - 4:15p.m. in the lounge for a fee of only $2.00 per session payable to the instructor. All women invited!

WE COLLECT

WE COLLECT GOOD, USED COATS - ALL SIZES! Please leave coats on the "Donated Coats" rack at the bottom of the north steps to be given to the Salvation Army (not the thrift store). We also collect used eyeglasses. A basket for those is on the table outside the church office. Thanks for all donations to those in need!

One of our best ways of outreach to guests is with Apple Pies. We need a new co-ordinator for this vital ministry. Contact Ann Tucker if interested

GRIEF SUPPORT

OSF Hospice offers a Grief Support Group from 3-5 p.m. Thursdays
at the OSF Home Care office, 3333 N. Seminary St. Deacon Rod Gray will lead these. Free to the public - reservations not required. For info: call 344-3161, ext. 4632 or ext. 4645.

"DINNER DELIGHT"

is a tasty meal on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays at 5:30 for only $7.00 each. Sign up at the banner table by Tuesday of that week. Rides available-call!
"DINNER EXTRA" is at 4:30 the same nights with a movie - join us! Open to ALL ages!

WANT TO LEARN TO QUILT?

Wednesday afternoon programs are up and running!

Volunteers are needed! Contact Kelly Reese if you have time to share. 342-3197 (church). Christian Education has many opportunities for you to give of your time. Various projects include taking pictures during our activities, bulletin boards, hanging up pictures in the hall, VBS director, tutoring, Bible Buddy, and more. If you are looking for a way to serve our church, we can find something for you! With our Wednesday afternoon KFC (Kids for Christ) program starting up, our kitchen is in need of some items so we can also start up: 6" and 8" styrofoam plates, 8 oz. styrofoam cups, paper napkins (plain), dish soap, SOS scouring pads, foil wrap. NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We need volunteers to take a rotation for our Sunday morning 10:30 worship services (need to be here by 10:15). Also needed is a
